in june of 2025, i was burned out from job hunting, interviewing (so much interviewing), and networking. i decided to start creating on the platforms that i knew future clients would want to own—both to learn the platform better, and to scratch a creative itch for making.
but to be honest, when i hit “post” on a 7 second video to TikTok, I did not expect it to go viral. like, new york times and fast company viral.
the original “fridge cigarette” video currently has nearly 4 million views on TikTok.
we all have expectation when we order nachos, and it’s hard for any restaurant to live up to them. sure, you could ask for a million modifications so the restaurant gets it just right—but then you’d be that table.
